These terms are an agreement between you and Michelle Cao ("we", "us", "I") for your use of the unfurl mobile app. By downloading or using unfurl, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
unfurl is a conversation-card app. It provides decks of question cards that are personalized on your device with the names and pronouns you enter. It's intended for entertainment and connection, not professional, medical, legal or therapeutic advice.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to make a purchase. Some decks contain reflective questions intended for adults and are gated using your platform's age-range signal. Don't use those decks if you're under the indicated age.
You're responsible for the names, pronouns and other details you enter. Only add information about other people if you have a reasonable basis to do so. This information stays on your device as described in our Privacy Policy.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use unfurl for your own non-commercial use, subject to these terms and your app store's terms.
You agree not to:
unfurl, its name, the decks, the card text and the design are owned by Michelle Cao and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't transfer any of those rights to you.
We may update, change or discontinue features, decks or the app itself. We try to keep things working but don't guarantee the app will always be available or error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We don't warrant that the content will suit any particular purpose or that the app will be uninterrupted. Some jurisdictions, including Australia, give you guarantees that can't be excluded; nothing in these terms limits those.
To the extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or, where the Australian Consumer Law applies, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply.
You can stop using unfurl at any time by removing it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Purchase and consumer-law rights that survive termination continue to apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Australia, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
Your use of unfurl is also subject to the terms of the app store you downloaded it from. If there's a conflict for store-related matters such as payment and refunds, the store's terms apply to those matters. The app store providers are not responsible for the app or its content.
We may update these terms. The current version always lives at this address with the date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
